This course is for any person with responsibilities for preventing, investigating and reporting accidents in the workplace e.g. Line Managers & Supervisors with full and part time responsibility for corporate health and safety, or Health and Safety Representatives.
Aim
The proper investigation of accidents at work can reveal much about the relevant causes and can significantly help in improving health and safety standards. The aim of this seminar is to equip delegates with an understanding of how accidents are caused and cover the key elements of investigation procedure. Reference will be made to report writing and to advanced investigation techniques, with case studies being used to illustrate the sessions.
Objective
To provide managers and supervisors with knowledge of the legal requirements pertaining to prevention, reporting and investigation of accidents, so that by the end of the course attendees will be able to carry out these duties competently.
